Our Vision

Roughly two thousand years ago, a small group of Jesus-followers ascended a mountain to meet with Jesus after His death and resurrection. In this surreal moment, the One who conquered death and holds all authority gave his followers a mission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

As a church, we do not choose our mission – Jesus Christ does. The mission he has given us is the following:

  1. We need to GO! We cannot expect people to come to us. We are committed to being actively involved in our communities for the purpose of sharing our faith.
  2. We need to make DISCIPLES! Disciples are people who follow Jesus with every area of their lives. Disciples take the words of Scripture seriously and seek to live out Jesus’ teachings in their daily lives. Jesus explains that we make disciples by “teaching” people his words (i.e. the Bible) and “baptizing” new believers.
  3. We keep our focus on JESUS! The mission Jesus has given us is impossible to accomplish on our own. Because of this, He promises to be personally present to guide, empower, and lead us into the vision He has given our church.

Practically, we accomplish these things by orientating our church around four values: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, and Evangelism. For a deeper explanation, please download the following: Renovation Church – Values.
